(More customer reviews)We purchased this item to use during kitchen remodle. It has served it's purpose, but we missed cooking with gas very much. It is good for boiling water quickly, so ideal for making tea, boiling eggs, pasta, or making soup. I've found it difficult to conrol temerature for more delicate cooking, such as scrambling or frying eggs, but it can be done with practice. It's clean and safe to use with a magnetic pan. It's washes up easily and looks great. I'll use it in the future to warm an item on a buffet table, or for outdoor cooking. It does hum along while working, so the buffet will have to be at an appropriately noisy party!
