(More customer reviews)I don't normally write reviews but I felt I must save anyone who is contemplating the fine art of Dutch oven cooking from this product. I have a number of Lodge ovens and the beauty of acquiring different sizes over the years is that the pots and lids are compatible and stackable. This product comes with a flimsy bent aluminum lid (really cheap, not like the solid cast aluminum lids of well made pots), and an equally flimsy basket. Oh well, I thought, I'll just toss the cheap lid and use my #12 Lodge lid. Too bad, the pot is not able to accept the wonderful Lodge flanged top.
Since good cast iron pots last forever, don't skimp! You will lose the opportunity to fall in love with this classic cooking hobby.
