(More customer reviews)I got this stir paddle to use for a pretty good sized boil for about 16 people over Memorial day weekend. Upon receiving it, all edges were smooth and the wood seemed of good quality, though soft. Which leads to a couple "issues": Is there a cooking paddle made of hard wood out there? I'm not willing to seal this...it's used for cooking. Will it eventually become saturated with seasoning and cross-flavor the next cook? Regardless, it's a great product that's cheap enough to buy a few and replenish when necessary. If you like to do low country boils or big pot cooking, this is a fabulous tool that is fun to use.
