(More customer reviews)I've thought about getting a rotisserie oven for some time and, when I saw this one on sale for $25.00 I thought I'd give it a try. Not worth the money.
1. The manual had the photos and directions backwards (mixed up left and right) which made it difficult to figure out how to assemble the pieces, It also used the term 'round end' when there is no round end. I eventually figured it out.
2. The end of the bar that is supposed to fit in the motor shaft doesn't, causing slippage.
3. The drip pan is too small and allowed the fat to get on the base of the unit. Very difficult to clean up as the base is not non-stick.
4. The food cooks very slowly. Forget about anything other than well done if you want any browning at all.
5. The way the basket fits the bar, only the side farthest from the bar gets close enough to the heating element to brown. And very slowly at that.
6. And finally, the glass door is only held close by the fact that it is tilted back about 5 degrees from vertical. If you brush up against it it will fall open, which is bad news for a glass door. (luckily mine hasn't broken yet, but it makes me nervous to work near it)
All in all, a poorly designed piece of equipment, over hyped by infomercials.
